I ordered fresh sashimi grade oyster delivery to my apartment in Puchong.

Malaysia is surrounded by the ocean, but oyster is not a readily available delicacies. Usually I will eat by the mall at SHUCKED. Their cheapest price is RM110.

2. Oyster Price RM62 @ Puchong

Oyster at RM37 and delivery at RM25

The delivery cannot be any cheaper, because that’s how they guarantee the freshness

The first bite was an explosion of flavor—sweet, briny, and incredibly fresh. The texture was smooth and silky, with just the right amount of firmness. Paired with the free lemon, it was an absolute treat for the senses.

3. How to eat

L / XL Oyster Preparation Method

1. Thaw for 30 minutes.
2. Rinse the oyster meat and scrub the shells clean.
3. Soak in icy saltwater (5 tablespoons of salt for 1 set of oysters) soak for 20 minutes.
4. Rinse with cold water, and they’re ready to eat raw or cook. 🤤🦪

4. How to order

I did online transfer, and seller arranged delivery in about 15 minutes. Arriving at my house in one hour. They are in Ampang, I live in Puchong. The transaction also happened at noon time.

4. Comparing this to SHUCKED

At SHUCKED I will have to pay RM50 more. Ordering for 蚝味鲜味, I need

1. to wait for an hour for delivery.
2. wait for another one hour to thaw + soaked in ice salt water, But I cheated* of course.
3. to rinse the oyster so many times. The shell is opened, so you’ll find dirt, broken shell, on the oyster meat. I have to run oyster under running water, get the dirt out, extra work and uses a lot a lot of water.

*Honestly every time I used hot water to make it thaw faster. While carefully not to make hot water direct in contact with the oyster meat, I can’t say for sure if it affects the quality of the delicacies.

I also thinks that SHUCKED taste better, smaller oyster. 蚝味鲜味’s oysters are huge, but it also taste / smell a little pungent. 有点腥。

SHUCKED always said they ran out of the cheapest option, so I remember paying average RM130 each time I visit. RM62 vs RM130. or RM62 vs RM110.
