Russian Food @ Puchong BK5
We found a cafe that serves Russian food at BK 5 Puchong, right at the LRT station.
They have the best medovik cake in the neighbourhood. Their classic medovik is on the sweeter side compared to the one in TTDI (Astana Restaurant), but it’s also more moist and, to me, better balanced overall. I pick Linda’s!

Medovik looks a lot like our mille crêpe layer cake. Instead of layers of crêpe, it has thin layers of honey cake — slightly more crumbly and grainy in texture than a typical sponge cake, with cream between each layer.
It’s also not limited at classic medovik, they have medovik chocolate, pistachio, and other flavour. I will try their Milky girl next.
Pierogi
Vareniki in Russian, pierogi in Polish — different names, same classic dumpling family
I’m a fans of pierogies, more accurately, fans of potatoes. Their vareniki is slightly garlicky, a comfort food on rainy days.

Kurze Dumpling
Kurze dumpling is something else.
If you love lamb, this is the dish for you. It’s incredibly juicy, packed with flavour, and has that rich, comforting lambiness that makes you want another bite immediately.

There were only two of us, so we were a little limited in how many dishes we could order and try.
