Private Yoga Class @ Damansara Height
1. New to yoga
I recently signed up for private yoga classes at Plaza Damansara, Damansara Height, and it has been an amazing experience. As someone who is new to yoga, I was initially hesitant to attend a group class. However, I knew that I wanted to start practicing yoga to improve my flexibility. That’s when I decided to look into private yoga classes.
2. Teacher Nadya @ Damansara Height
After doing some research, I found a local yoga instructor in Damansara Height who offers personalized yoga sessions. I was immediately drawn to the idea of having one-on-one classes, as it would allow me to focus on my individual needs and goals, namely, my inflexible body.
3. Goal setting
When I arrived for my first session, we began by discussing my fitness level, any injuries or health concerns, and what I hoped to achieve through yoga.
I told her I just want to have yoga as my self-care routine, as jogging is currently a bit too tiring for me, and I find it hard on fitting badminton session into my overloaded schedule.
4. Prana Vasya Primary Series
Do not get distracted by the mirrors
During the session, we practiced Prana Vasya series. Teacher Nadya encouraged me to listen to my body. She waits for me, when I couldn’t go into a pose as swift as she did. There were huge mirrors at the front wall of the studio, but she advised me to feel my body instead of checking out the reflections.
And she’s not keen on taking photo during class of course, it’s only something we do on completing the 2nd package.
5. 3 months after
I am writing this article after completed 2 package with Teacher Nadya.
I have noticed a significant improvement in my flexibility and overall sense of well-being. For example, I wasn’t able to touch my toes on forward fold and now I do, with straight legs. I feel more energized and focused throughout the day, and I picked up meditation. The most important thing is, I have something to look forward after a busy day of work.
Self -practice at home
She will slowly adapt some flows I can practice on my own at home. At first she had me memorise the sun salutation. As she found out my strength, (she told me I have strength for my legs), she introduced a series of standing pose I can do at home.
6. Kamileom Fitness Studio
We chose this studio because its near my house, and it’s clean and well equipped. Clean floor and clean toilet.
